Cosmetology Instructor Highlight: Oteka Lyons

With an incredible 20 years  of cosmetology experience under her belt, Oteka Lyons has done more than getting her feet wet in the world of beauty.  From the corporate world of Sephora to the intimate setting of her own waxing business, Oteka has a wealth of experience that shines through in every interaction. This beauty boss started as a makeup artist, quickly climbing the ladder to become an in-store corporate trainer at Sephora. Talk about a glow-up! Her journey has led her to work with countless brands, from makeup to skincare, haircare, and even brows. Clearly, this woman knows her stuff!

When she’s not busy empowering clients and students, Oteka is a total rockstar. As a proud mom of an 18-year-old, she’s always on the move, filled with energy and passion. Music, dance, and singing are her go-to stress relievers. It’s no wonder she’s so radiant! But what truly sets Oteka apart is her dedication to helping others. She’s all about encouraging people to tap into their inner potential and become the best versions of themselves. Whether it’s through beauty tips or life advice, Oteka is your ultimate cheerleader.

Oteka has been serving our students as lead cosmetology instructor since the 2023-2024 school year and the love and care she puts into sharing her knowledge can be felt by all.  So, there you have it – a glimpse into the amazing world of Oteka Lyons.
